Founded last year by marine-industry veteran Earl Bentz—who started both Stratos and Triton boat companies—Caymas Boats has introduced the new 26HB and its larger sister, the 28HB, to the saltwater market. Caymas contracted with well-known naval architect Michael Peters to design the vessels, which sport Peters’ patented stepped-V ventilated tunnel hull.
Standard features include two 35-gallon transom livewells with high-speed pickups; lockable bow storage lockers for gear as well as four rods up to 8 feet long; a 4-inch jack plate; and trim tabs with indicators. Capable of handling 400 hp, engine options include Mercury’s 300, 350 Verado or 400 Verado, Yamaha’s 300, or Suzuki’s 300 or 350.

This near-26-foot bay boat carries 90 gallons of fuel; it features a 9-foot beam for greater stability at rest. Available options include a fully equipped hardtop with custom powder-coated frame, a 65-quart Yeti cooler with custom slider, power-assist steering, one or more 8-foot Power-Poles, and a Minn Kota RT Ulterra trolling motor.
