From a flurry of social-media reports, it seems that bluefin anglers are having a banner season off Canada’s Prince Edward Island.
In the video, below, Okuma Fishing Tackle‘s director of product development, John Bretza, battles an estimated grander tuna on a Makaira MK-80WII two-speed reel for more than an hour. Now that’s some fun R&D!
From my one experience catching a smaller bluefin of about 300 pounds, I can only imagine the awesomeness of this fight.
