Raymarine developed its new EV-150 Hydraulic Autopilot System Pack for small- to midsize powerboats with hydraulic steering systems. The pack costs $1,999 and includes a p70Rs autopilot controller, EV1 sensor core, ACU-150 actuator control unit, Type 1 12-volt hydraulic pump and cabling kit. Like all Evolution autopilots, the EV-150 eliminates the need for complicated setup and calibration due to its 9-axis EV sensor core. The system automatically evolves and adapts to a vessel’s steering characteristics without user adjustments. Hydro-Balance technology compensates for hydraulic-system elasticity, steering-system asymmetry and torque steer. EV-150 also comes with built-in trolling patterns for anglers.
