Bonefish.Montocchio
During a recent tiger shark trip to Grand Bahama Island, the IGFA’s Adrian Gray and I got to talking about outdoor photographers and videographers that we both admired.
Without hesitation, Adrian — a fabulous photographer himself and the publications director at IGFA — quickly mentioned Marc Montocchio. I knew Marc by name and was familiar with much of his work, but I’d never met him. Adrian insisted that he was among the most technically creative pros out there — plus, as Adrian so delicately put it, he’s “just a cool guy!”
Alas, today – just a week later – Marc dropped us a line at Sport Fishing with a couple links from a recent trip with several of his friends to the fabulous Casa Blanca Lodge in the Yucatan. I knew, of course, that Marc was an outstanding still photographer, but my goodness, he shoots and edits a helluva video production too!
As the former editor of Fly Fishing in Salt Waters magazine, I’m a sucker for a good fly-fishing flick — and this is a great one indeed! Makes you feel as if you were there yourself!
Enjoy the show. We’ll be sure to follow up soon with a photo gallery from Marc’s trip as well.
