The Pursuit S 378 made a splash at February’s Miami International Boat Show with a host of innovative features on display. With a button push, the aft-facing mezzanine seat slides aft, transforming the spacious fishing cockpit with its tackle and bait-prep area into a social zone with a foldout transom seat and access to a grill, sink and refrigerator.
Pursuit also sculpted in tempered glass hull-side windows at the bow, which are aligned with the console side lights to create sightlines from the console out through the hull.
Angler amenities include a hull side door, twin 41-gallon fish boxes, lockable rod storage in the console cabin, and a 36-gallon livewell (opt for the upgraded fishing package to add a second well, hardtop mounted rod holders and outriggers).
With triple Yamaha 425 XTO outboards, the vessel topped out at 60.1 mph, turning 5,900 rpm and achieving 0.54 mpg, based on Yamaha’s testing. At a cruising speed of 32 mph, turning 3,500 rpm, it tallied 0.91 mpg for a range of 351 miles, based on 90 percent fuel capacity.
